What version of DDR did you "Grow up" on?

I started on 3rd mix and moved up to 8 footers and catistrofic level songs then I moved up to Max2 and Extreme

Started out on 3rd Mix Plus, then moved back to 3rd.

From there I went to 5th Mix then onto MAX2 and finally Extreme. I'd like to visit back with 5th again though.

3rd mix -> 5th mix for a little bit -> stepmania (this is what helped me the most) -> Max -> Extreme

I started on 3rd Mix Korean v2, played a lot of trick on 3rd Mix Plus, but really didn't get good until 7th Mix.

I started out on a less-than-favourable DDR 4th mix with a defective and never-fixed left arrow. No second player, horrible screen colours... It wasn't the most grand experience. I played on that for ages, then Extreme when it was installed, and I play a lot of home DDRMAX. That's where I really learned to play well (what with having a functional pad and all).
