About that post limit...

If you've been in /Chit-Chat recently, you'd see the group of trolls we had sign up. I know we have the 10 post per day limit, but that seems a little high; shoot, even I don't average that many posts per day. Couldn't we make the blue foot limit, I don't know, one or zero? I don't envision a scenario (maybe someone could prove otherwise) where more than one is required. Or maybe something along the lines of "you must wait n number of days before being allowed to post," and have a looser (but still <10) limit.

or it could be like some forums were you cant post a topic till you've been around for a while and you've posted a bunch. we could do it were you have to be a Trick member or somthing to post a topic.

It was just a temporary influx of trolls, and not an overall trend showing an increase in stupid registrants.

Now that they've been discovered and summarily gotten bored, things should go back down to normal.

On the upside, my ban stats have gotten a nice boost.

While fighting fire with more fire is somewhat frowned upon, I'd say that in this case it definitly worked because they ended up deleting the thread there.

I just enjoy the mentality of people trolling a DDR forum thinking that they're better for it... let's be honest here. If you're going to stoop to TROLLING a gaming forum, it really goes to show how much lower you really are.

I agree with the 0 topics, x # posts.

One thing I've always wondered is if it's possible to have the page redirected after registration. You could have the completed registration rredirect to a page with two option;

1) I have a question about DDR or DDRFreak.

2) I don't have any questions about DDR or DDRFreak.

Upon choosing option 1, a new list would pop up.

1) I have a question about DDR controllers (hard and soft).
2) I have a question about DDR console games.
3) I have a question about DDR arcade machines.

And so on. When clicking on these the member would be directed to a page listing where to find information about their request, and which forum these questions would belong in.

It seems like this would be a simple task (a few links on a static page) and would help cut down on the number of unnecesary posts.

Not that it would help any way with the trolling morons.

Just a simple suggestion. You can tell me to shut up now.
